Couple of days ago, I got in contact with a record label about doing some filming for the holidays. They said yes and jnstantly put me to work editing an interview by a lady in Australia called “Made in Paris”
This I feel was a sort of test of skills for me so I pulled this out of the bag….
They were impressed and I have a new job! Gonna be filming in Birmingham on the 29th at the blocbeatz VIP party for free! First time I can be actually called a VIP, before that clubs knew me a just a P. plenty more opportunities to film and edit over the holidays and beyond with them also.
Watch this space.
Here is the next and maybe final part of the Titchmarsh videos I have been making. The day was lovely and I saw some old school friends and also went around my old primary school (everything is a lot smaller now) The film took on a different tone to the others in the series with the focus on happiness and family, so the music had to reflect that. Also I would of liked to have used a telephoto lens for this and a tripod but budget constraints proved that to be impossible.
Anyway, few more projects in the pipeline including some timelapse stuff at a theme park so watch this space.
Working for the man….
It’s a killer….started a new job in a warehouse on Wednesday and I ache all over. Seriously cutting into any editing, filming or VFX work I want to do but think of the money. Money for new equipment and shizzle will be good. Off to do the next part of the “Life” series now so that will be up in the next few days.
After an arduous couple of days where the weather has affected the sunlight in many ways filming this piece, I have completed the final (he says) piece in the Titchmarsh films. Saying that, I do have a fete on saturday I would like to film but as I am starting a new job today, I may not get the chance to do so. Fingers Crossed.
The Birmingham Symphony want to meet me to do their filming as well so that’s good news and I am continuing to expand my portfolio with other ideas. As soon I get some money in the bank as well, I will look to entering “Explicit Content” into a few film festivals.
So here it is…..Village Life.
I am currently making a video using my new 650D about the the village in which I am staying in over the next 3 months. The video will be a montage film like the others in the media section but a little longer. I have been taking shots of the village for the past few days now and I am pleased with some of the results. All I have to do is make some music and start editing it!
Just a selection of clips I took today.
I am trying to get my After Effects expereince up a bit and also my colot grading skills up as well, in the next few weeks I will be going to Kettering and trying to do the same thing there as well and doing some time lapse sequences at the local park (If they give me permission). I have a project which may go through which is a series of videos for the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra which will showcase the natural and conversational side of the group, talking about performances and trying to excite younger people to classical music.
It’s official….With the help of the university and others, I am online. Also, I can get more creative now with the help of the new Canon 650D I have purchased to make my life easier when I return to University. I am gonna start practising using it around the village so stay tuned.
